01Agora Cafe

Agora Cafe

Extending a neighborhood café identity across print, digital menus, online experience and motion.

From October to December 2025, I worked remotely with Agora Cafe in Los Angeles as an independent creative partner through my own company.

The engagement brought multiple customer touchpoints into a more consistent visual system — from printed menus and in-store digital screens to an online menu experience and motion content.

02Building the Visual Language

Building the Visual Language

Developing the identity beyond the existing logo

Agora already had an existing logo when the project began. I refined and developed it, then built the broader visual language around it through color, typography and a more consistent system for customer-facing communication.

The objective was not to create isolated designs for individual formats, but to establish a visual language that could move naturally between print, screens and digital interfaces.

That system became the foundation for the menu family and the other touchpoints developed throughout the engagement.

04Digital Menu Boards

Digital Menu Boards

Designing a system that could move

The in-store menu system expanded the same visual language across multiple digital displays.

I designed and animated three coordinated menu-board compositions, developing the layouts, hierarchy and motion behavior as one connected system rather than independent screens.

The motion was kept functional: helping structure information and add visual energy without competing with the menu itself.

A third-party screen mockup was used for presentation purposes. All menu-board artwork and animation shown within those screens was designed and animated by me.

05Online Menu Experience

Online Menu Experience

Translating the menu system into an interactive format

The next step was an online menu experience that carried the same visual language into a browser-based interface.

I developed the UX structure, navigation flow, UI design and interactive experience, then implemented the final interface with Claude used as a coding assistant.

The project required a different kind of hierarchy from the printed and screen-based menus: information had to remain easy to navigate while still feeling like part of the same Agora identity.

Rather than treating digital as a separate visual layer, the interface was designed as another expression of the same customer experience.

06Motion, Real Use & Credits

Motion, Real Use & Credits

One visual system across customer touchpoints

The project also extended into introductory motion content for the brand.

I developed the concept, edit and motion design for the Agora intro, using stock imagery where required and producing the final piece with Adobe After Effects and GarageBand.

Client-supplied photographs document the work in real use and are presented as implementation proof rather than as photography authored by me.

Across the engagement, the work connected print, in-store screens, an online interface and motion through one consistent visual direction.
