01Petipure
Petipure
Building a scalable packaging system across multiple pet-care categories.
From January to March 2025, I worked with Petipure as an independent creative partner through my own company, developing a packaging system across dry dog food, canned dog food and cat litter.
Starting from an existing logo and core brand colors, I designed the packaging architecture, individual artworks and production adaptations, taking the work from visual development through prepress and final production approval.

02Project Overview
Project Overview
Petipure already had its logo and core brand colors in place. The assignment was to build the broader visual and packaging system around those existing assets.
The project developed into a multi-category packaging programme spanning different product types, formats, sizes and flavour variants.
My responsibility covered the complete design and production process: establishing the packaging language, designing and adapting each SKU, preparing technical production artwork, coordinating production requirements and approving final files.
The scope also extended into catalogue design and supporting visual content, creating a more consistent product world around the packaging itself.

03From Brand Assets to a Packaging System
From Brand Assets to a Packaging System
Building beyond the existing identity
The starting point was intentionally limited: an existing Petipure logo and an established core color palette.
Everything around those assets needed to become a usable commercial system.
Rather than treating each product as a separate packaging exercise, I developed a shared visual structure that could work across different categories while still giving each range enough distinction.
The goal was consistency without making the portfolio feel repetitive: recognizable as Petipure at first glance, but flexible enough to support different products, formats, animal profiles and product benefits.

04Building the Product Architecture
Building the Product Architecture
One system, multiple categories
The documented production scope covers at least 22 packaging SKUs across three primary product families:
Dry Dog Food
4 variants across 3 kg and 15 kg formats
Canned Dog Food
4 variants in 400 g format
Cat Litter
5 variants across 5 L and 10 L formats
Documented SKUs
The challenge was not simply to create individual packs, but to establish enough structure for the portfolio to remain coherent as products, variants and pack sizes changed.
Hierarchy, product identification, category differentiation and visual rhythm therefore had to work as a system rather than as isolated design decisions.
05Dry Dog Food
Dry Dog Food
Designing across scale
The dry dog food range included four variants:
- Lamb — Adult
- Beef — Puppy
- Beef — Adult
- Chicken — Adult
Each variant was developed across 3 kg and 15 kg formats, creating eight documented production SKUs.
The system needed to remain recognizable across substantially different pack dimensions while maintaining clear product and life-stage differentiation.
The 3 kg packs also introduced additional structural production requirements, including resealable zipper specifications, which had to be considered within the final artwork and technical preparation.
The result was a family designed to operate consistently from smaller retail packs to large-format bags without losing the core visual hierarchy.

06Canned Dog Food
Canned Dog Food
Translating the system into a compact format
The canned food range applied the same broader brand logic to a very different packaging structure.
Four 400 g variants were developed:
- Lamb — Adult
- Beef — Puppy
- Beef — Adult
- Chicken — Adult
The reduced surface area required a more concentrated hierarchy while preserving the relationship with the wider Petipure portfolio.
Each can was developed as an individual production artwork, including adaptation to the supplied dieline and preparation of final print-ready files.
The range demonstrates how the packaging language could move between large flexible packs and compact cylindrical formats without becoming visually disconnected.

07Cat Litter
Cat Litter
Creating differentiation inside a repetitive format
The cat litter range consisted of five variants:
- Activated Carbon
- Baby Powder
- Fresh
- Unscented
- Marseille Soap
Each was produced in both 5 L and 10 L formats, resulting in ten documented SKUs.
Because the physical packaging structure remained largely consistent, the visual system needed to make variant recognition immediate without fragmenting the brand.
Color, imagery and information hierarchy were used to build clear differentiation while maintaining a shared architecture across the complete family.
This allowed the range to operate as a recognizable shelf system rather than a collection of unrelated packs.

08From Artwork to Production
From Artwork to Production
Design did not end at the mockup
The project extended through the full packaging production workflow.
For every documented SKU, my responsibility included artwork development, format adaptations, technical file preparation and prepress.
I worked directly with production specifications and dielines, resolving layout, dimensions, structural restrictions and print requirements before preparing final production files.
The scope also included production coordination and final artwork approval.
Across the documented project archive, this process covers:
- 8 dry dog food production files
- 4 canned dog food production files
- 10 cat litter production files
The objective was not simply to create convincing presentation visuals, but to make sure the system could survive the transition from design file to manufactured packaging.

09The Product Catalogue
The Product Catalogue
Extending the system into print communication
The packaging system was also translated into a Petipure product catalogue.
I designed the catalogue structure, page layouts and visual hierarchy, then prepared the final document for print production.
The catalogue provided a different test for the system: products that had been designed to work individually on packaging now needed to sit together inside a single editorial framework.
The result brought the portfolio into one consistent sales and communication tool while retaining the category and product distinctions established across the packaging.

10Extending the Product World
Extending the Product World
AI-assisted imagery as an art-direction tool
Beyond packaging and catalogue design, I developed supporting visual content for the Petipure product world.
The imagery was generated using Nano Banana and then refined, composited and retouched in Adobe Photoshop.
This included product-focused compositions, category imagery and custom animal characters designed to work alongside the packaging system.
AI was used as part of the production workflow rather than as a standalone visual exercise.
The objective remained the same as the packaging work: create a consistent, recognizable Petipure world that could extend beyond the physical pack.

From Production to Market
The system in real use
The completed packaging moved beyond presentation renders into manufactured products and commercial sales environments.
Physical product imagery documents multiple Petipure formats in real use, while marketplace captures show the range appearing across online retail channels including Trendyol, Amazon, Hepsiburada and Mopaş.
These materials are presented as evidence of implementation rather than as performance claims.
For the project, the important transition was straightforward:
design system → production files → manufactured packaging → market presence
That continuity between concept and execution was a central part of my responsibility throughout the engagement.

Outcome & Credits
A packaging system built through production
Over the three-month engagement, Petipure developed from a brand with an existing logo and core colors into a broader packaging and product communication system.
The documented scope includes at least 22 production-ready packaging SKUs across dry dog food, canned dog food and cat litter, supported by catalogue design, technical production work and AI-assisted static visual content.
