01The Heist
The Heist
Building a fictional character world through AI-assisted art direction, motion and post-production.
The Heist is a self-initiated concept project developed in 2025 as an exploration of AI-assisted character development and cinematic visual direction.
I created a fictional heist scenario around three distinct character archetypes, developing their briefs, visual direction and shared aesthetic before extending the final character concepts into motion.
The resulting project brings together three character designs and three short motion pieces within one consistent visual world.

02Building the Cast
Building the Cast
Three archetypes, one visual world
The project began with three deliberately different character archetypes: an aggressive street-level enforcer, a sharp and calculating femme fatale, and a heavy-built weapons specialist.
I developed the character briefs and art direction around a shared cinematic language, using warm tungsten lighting, directional contrast, motion-blur details and a painterly semi-realistic aesthetic to make the three characters feel part of the same fictional universe.
Character imagery was generated with Midjourney through iterative prompt development and art-direction decisions covering composition, lighting, color, stylization, expression and posture.
The objective was not simply to generate three individual images, but to maintain enough visual continuity for the characters to read as a coherent cast.

03From Still to Motion
From Still to Motion
Extending character concepts into cinematic motion studies
Once the three character concepts were established, I explored how the same visual identities could translate into short motion sequences.
Base motion was generated with Sora, using the static character concepts as the foundation for three individual video studies.
I then developed the final presentation through Adobe After Effects, shaping the edit, compositing and post-production so that the motion pieces remained aligned with the tone and visual language established in the still imagery.
The three resulting sequences function as motion concepts rather than scenes from a completed film, game or commercial production.
04Process & Credits
Process & Credits
Using generative tools as part of an art-direction workflow
The project was developed as an experiment in directing generative tools through a structured creative process rather than treating individual generations as finished outcomes.
The workflow moved from character briefing and visual direction, through image generation and motion exploration, to final compositing and post-production.
